Here are the key highlights: MMF and Apollo Visit to Kano – Meeting with the Emir: The Murtala Muhammed Foundation, alongside representatives from Apollo, visited Kano to meet with the Emir of Kano. This visit underscored the foundation’s commitment to engaging with traditional leaders and fostering collaborations for community development. Inception of Computer for Schools Initiative: The foundation took a significant step towards enhancing educational infrastructure with the inception of the Computer for Schools initiative. Several schools, including Rumfai College in Kano, Government Girls Secondary School in Pakata (Ilorin, Kwara State), Government Secondary School in Wanune (Benue State), and Community Secondary School in Ekiti State, as well as Nike Grammar School in Enugu State, benefitted from this program. Scholarship Dinner for Mr. Daniel Opeyemi Amund: The foundation organized a scholarship dinner to honor Mr. Daniel Opeyemi Amund, marking him as the first scholarship recipient under the Murtala Muhammed Foundation’s scholarship program.
