MEDAssist
The MMF remote medical assistant “MEDAssist” is an indigenous multi-lingual (English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba) telemedicine platform in Nigeria. As a social enterprise, MedAssist provides the Nigerian community with access to remote consultation, possible diagnosis, referrals, testing and treatment options with support from medical practitioners and nurses.
During the outbreak of the global pandemic, MedAssist was an initiative that provided support to front-line health workers by giving free remote consultations to patients who had questions on COVID-19 in different languages. Medassist has further been expanded to creating mental health awareness and treatment for people who are faced with various mental health disorders.
