We are thrilled to announce that Maha Fatima Omojo, founder of BeaDare Beads, and Uzoaga Grace, founder of Garnetmind Service Limited, have officially begun their one-year mentorship under the Cherie Blair Mentoring Women in Business Programme.
After successfully completing the rigorous screening process and pre-matching training, these inspiring entrepreneurs have now been paired with mentors who will guide them through a year of transformative learning and development. This programme exemplifies MMF’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs across Africa, fostering their growth, and driving sustainable success.
We look forward to witnessing the incredible strides Maha and Grace will achieve on this journey.
The Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF) is proud to stand in solidarity with organisations and individuals worldwide for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. This international campaign, which runs from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), amplifies the urgent need to eradicate violence in all forms against women and girls.
At MMF, we are committed to fostering a safer society where every woman can thrive without fear of violence. As part of this year’s campaign, MMF will create awareness about the violation of women’s rights, promote conversations around the need for systemic change, and advocate for a future where all women can live free from violence. Stay engaged by following our updates and participating in the movement.
The Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF) remains committed to nurturing future leaders and ensuring its beneficiaries well-being and academic progress. Our recent Monitoring and Evaluation exercises highlighted the remarkable strides made by the students we support.
At Damare Primary School in Yola, we met Fatima Mohammad, an enthusiastic student and a proud MMF beneficiary. As a member of the school’s press club, Fatima is cultivating her communication skills and confidence through journalism. This aligns with MMF’s belief in nurturing young talents to equip them for success and leadership. Supporting students like Fatima underscores our dedication to empowering the next generation of professionals and change-makers.
Our team also visited scholars at Federal Government College, Maiduguri, as part of our ongoing support initiative.
Through one-on-one interactions and group mentorship sessions, we assessed their academic progress and provided encouragement to overcome challenges. These engagements not only reinforced their commitment to education but also emphasized its transformative power for achieving their aspirations and impacting their communities.
Such visits are essential to maintaining close connections with our beneficiaries and ensuring their journeys are enriched with support and guidance. MMF remains steadfast in its mission to empower young minds for a brighter, sustainable future.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to impact lives through education and mentorship.
